Television Set Design and Ephemeral Architecture. Transformative Art
In the world of television, aesthetics play a fundamental role in creating memorable experiences for the viewer. Behind every successful show is a dedicated team of set designers and ephemeral architects, whose task is to bring imaginary worlds to life and captivate audiences from the comfort of their homes.
Television Set Design: Beyond the Walls
Television set design goes beyond simply building walls and arranging furniture. It is a creative process that involves combining visual elements, colors, lights and textures to convey the desired atmosphere and tone. Designers must consider the program’s narrative, color psychology, and the functionality of the spaces to create a compelling environment.
Ephemeral Architecture: Creating Unforgettable Temporary Experiences
Ephemeral architecture encompasses temporary structures and designs intended to last for a limited period of time, whether days, weeks, years, or even hours. In the context of television, this translates into the creation of sets and scenarios that exist only during the production of the show. Although ephemeral, these designs leave a lasting impression on the public’s memory.
At COLORKREIS we have had the opportunity and privilege to participate in the design and development of the set of the program DINERO A SACO, a ‘game-show’ presented by Klaudio Landa, who distributes 20,000 euros a week and which is being a complete success in EITB.
