From COLORKREIS we have had the pleasure of participating once again in the set design for the BOOK ON BOOK program, produced by Movistar+ and presented by Beatriz Rojo. For the current edition, the previous design has been expanded, incorporating new elements to the set. Movistar+ book - A program for book lovers. A weekly gathering that delves into the backstage of literature.
BOOK ON BOOK is a weekly space in which the guests, not only characters from the literary world but other figures from the artistic and cultural panorama, are the protagonists of a colloquium where they talk about popular classics, anecdotes and curiosities about books or their authors and current content.
With this stage design, a gathering space is generated, with a powerful visual image through very well differentiated simple elements. An intimate and welcoming space is created on stage, wrapped by a large curved screen that surrounds the scene. This generates a wide contrast and works as a dynamic element. The use of a varied color palette, achieved to a large extent by the variety of books distributed around the stage, the combination of contrasting geometric shapes and careful lighting, favor the generation of different focal points of attention, thus contributing to reinforce the shots. de camara en TV.O is a weekly space in which the guests, not only characters from the literary world but other figures from the artistic and cultural scene, are the protagonists of a colloquium where they talk about popular classics, anecdotes and curiosities about books or its authors and current content.
The books, protagonists
A large circle of suspended books presides over the scene, flanked on both sides by two huge frames that each house screens. These pieces are the pillars of a beautiful decoration that we have had the pleasure of recreating thanks to the design of our beloved set designer, Cristina Téllez. BOOK ABOUT BOOK, complements the program with a web page where reviews, interviews and sections of various signatures are offered. From COLORKREIS we are happy to contribute our grain of sand to the promotion of reading with an original set design in which, how could it be otherwise, books are the protagonists.
